THE HAMPTONS

An elite seaside resort town with iconic beaches.

EXCLUSIVE, WATERFRONT LUXURY

Welcome to The Hamptons

Summer was made for the Hamptons. Classic grey-shingled cottages with picket fences and wild roses, the wide, white sandy beaches, and exclusive events like the Hampton Classic define this iconic summer getaway. The collection of towns and communities that make up this Long Island resort spot go back generations, some all the way to the mid-1600s. From farmers and anglers to today’s titans of industry, the Hamptons have transformed in terms of prestige and exclusivity, but the rustic beauty and quaint village feel remain as charming as ever.

From the gorgeous rolling hills of the Bridgehampton equestrian centers to the vineyards of Sagaponack, the Hamptons offers stunning scenery and the height of luxury. This resort town does feature year-round living but is best known for the summer season when residents of New York City and Connecticut leave hectic city life behind for the easy elegance of this picturesque island.

Houses here range from charming beach cottages and quaint village homes, like the one Kurt Vonnegut lived in for 22 years on Main Street in Sagaponack, to magnificent waterfront properties and opulent resort-style estates. Known for some of the most exclusive homes in the country, the Hamptons are home to such coveted addresses as Billionaire’s Lane and Gin Lane, as well as sprawling acreage, tree-lined driveways, and meticulous landscaping.

Things to Do

The Hamptons offers some of the most exclusive events in the country, and invitations to these social scenes are highly coveted. The Bridge Car Show takes place on the grounds of the original Bridgehampton Raceway, and the namesake classic car exhibition pays tribute to the area’s historic racing past. Here you’ll walk the perfectly landscaped lawn of the Bridge Country Club and marvel at the post-war sports and competition cars that raced at The Bridgehampton Race Circuit during its heyday. More than 200 stunning, rare cars are featured every year. The Hampton Classic is one of the largest, and most prestigious, horse shows in the country and serves as an important entry on the Hamptons social calendar. A Hamptons tradition for over 40 years, the show serves as the finale event to close the summer season.
